Social Security Disability
If you cannot work because of a medical or mental health problem, you may be eligible for Social Security disability benefits. These benefits will allow you to support yourself and your family even though you are no longer able to work. Also, if you have been disabled for several months or even years, you may be able to recover backpay in the form of a lump sum, which could be several thousand dollars.
All Kentucky Social Security disability claims must start with an application. This can be done online at www.ssa.gov/applyfordisability, by calling Social Security Disability at (800) 722-1213, or by applying in person at your local Social Security field office. If your Kentucky Social Security disability claim is denied, you must file an appeal within sixty (60) days or your claim will be dismissed. Many Kentucky disability claimants choose to obtain the services of a Social Security disability lawyer once the initial claim is denied.
Our office handles most disability cases on a no fee unless you win basis, with the payment coming after the client receives their lump sum past due benefit check.

Uncontested Divorce
In an uncontested divorce, the parties have agreed in advance how to divide marital property, arrange for the custody of minor children, and set child and spousal support. Uncontested divorce is simple and therefore comes with a much lower cost. Another advantage is that, by working out the details of your divorce prior to beginning legal proceedings, you can keep many personal details of your marriage and divorce private.
